WARRINGTON Police returned stolen goods to a shop in Golden Square after spotting two youths behaving suspiciously.

In a post on Facebook, Warrington Police said that officers were deployed in Golden Square yesterday afternoon, Tuesday May 14.

It was there that officers spotted two youths behaving suspiciously and went to investigate.

“A short conversation later and it was found that they had stolen items from HMV,” the post read.

“Both were returned to the store where the goods were returned, and they apologised for their behaviour.

“Our specially trained officers spot all levels of criminality.”

The post also shared the hashtag Project Servator, which is a scheme across constabularies in the UK to help deter criminal activity and was rolled out in Warrington in 2021.
