BRUTAL, bleak and brilliant – Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead is a tour de force for director Sidney Lumet.
With superb performances from Philip Seymour–Hoffman, Ethan Hawke and Albert Finney, this film tells a morality tale of the fate of a dysfunctional family whose lives go horrifically wrong when the two brothers (Seymour–Hoffman and Hawke) commit a bungled robbery of their parents’ jewellery store.
