UPDATED: Bede was loved for his style and charm

THE families of both of the teenagers killed in the accident have paid tribute to their children.

Bede Etherington's family have issued a statement praising the 17-year-old's zest for life'.

The Etherington family, from Acton Bridge, said: "Bede was known and loved for his inimitable style and charm. He had a great zest for life and this was reflected in his wide circle of friends, by whom he was admired and respected. advertisement"The family have been deeply touched by the outpouring of love from family and friends after this devastating accident."

Bede was a student in the sixth form at the Grange school, Hartford, where he had just finished his year in the lower sixth and was studying Economics, politics, environmental science and geography. His family said he aimed to study real estate management at university once he had finished at school in 2008.

His talents and hobbies included playing the bass guitar, fishing and croquet. He also enjoyed working as a member of the front of house team at Cabbage Hall, Oakmere.

Abigail is the daughter of Martin Stewart Irlam, finance director of the Irlam Logistics haulage company.

The Irlam family said: "She is greatly missed by her parents and two elder brothers whom she was very close to and all her many friends."

She had just completed her AS levels in the fields of speech, drama and graphic design. This was an area where she excelled, winning an award at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall in 2006. She was an accomplished flute player, and talented singer.

She also gave some of her time to the local over 60's club, including serving at their Christmas luncheon.

Abigail had returned home from a holiday in Ibiza only the day before the accident.
