Our web editor takes on the challenge of a life time on Sunday as he tackles the New York Marathon.
David Chana, 26, and his girlfriend Catherine Skerritt, 24, are running the twenty-six point two miles to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The couple have been training five times a week since February clocking up nearly 1,000 miles and raising more than £3,000.
A special phone line has been set up to help the fundraising. Calling 09013600800 will cost you one pound on your bill and 75p will go to Marie Curie.
David is hoping people will give generously and help raise even more for the charity - who provide free care for cancer patients and those with other terminal illnesses in their own homes.
He said: "If everyone reading this donated just one pound it would raise thousands for a very good cause."
"For the price of a bag of chips, you can boost our fund raising and then you can feel good about yourself knowing you've helped people who are really suffering."
