A LANE known for its wealthier residents is to be resurfaced this summer.
Cheshire County Council wants to improve Faulkners Lane in Mobberley later this year.
The proposal comes just a year after the authority resurfaced Town Lane, the main road through the village.
County Councillor Steve Wilkinson revealed the plan at last week's annual parish meeting.
"Roads are the one thing that hit everyone in the face, so to speak, or in the bottom as you go over potholes," he said.
Three other roads in the village will be surface-dressed - covered with tar and gravel.
Last month the county council said a lack of funds for road repairs meant some streets in Knutsford would have to wait years for attention.
But Councillor Wilkinson said Faulkners Lane was an exception because of its poor state.
"I was told the job was tight on costs and they were hoping other jobs were under budget so they could pay for it all," he said.
