Company wins a place in national finals

BIRCHWOOD Park hire company A-Plant has won an outstanding customer service award.

Ashtead Plant Hire Company is one of Britain’s leading non-operated equipment rental companies with more than 200 depots nationwide.

And on Friday the firm scooped The CMI Customer Focus of the Year Award in the north west regional heat of the 2008 National Business Awards.

The business offers more than 30,000 customers a range of equipment to hire with an efficient and accessible extranet system to ease the management of their clients’ operations within the construction and civil engineering markets.

Its success was attributed to its sophisticated call centre strategy, which offers customers a 24-hour call centre service and a designated staff member with which to deal across all its disciplines – providing exceptional customer service.

A-Plant’s bosses were presented with the accolade at a ceremony and gala dinner in Liverpool.

The company now advances to the finals of the National Business Awards, to be held in November.

The awards are open to organisations of all sizes and from any industry sector, public or private and the best of British businesses will be able to showcase their achievements and benchmark their successes against firms and bodies of all types.
