A BABY boy’s arrival has sparked a celebration for a family who has five generations living in Warrington.
Peggy Spilling, aged 94, of Derby Road, Stockton Heath, welcomed her great, great-grandchild, Rio’s birth on June 26.
Margaret Hall, great-grandma aged 71, of Worsborough Avenue, said that baby Rio’s arrival gave the family an extra reason to celebrate as he was born on the same day as his grandma, Angela Smith, aged 49, of Eastford Road, Lower Walton.
Margaret’s son, Tony Davies died at the age of 30 after a tragic accident in 1987 but the family remained very close.
Proud mum, Estelle Davies, aged 31, of Chapelside Close, Great Sankey, and Brazilian fiancé, Fabio are glad to introduce a new addition to the family tree.
Margaret said: “I think it’s wonderful. My mum (Peggy) just wishes she could push Rio in his pram.
“We’re a very close family. I lost both of my children in accidents so Estelle has always been very special to me.
“Even though Angela is not blood related to me I really thank her and her mum who lives in Lanzarote for letting me be so close to Estelle.”
