POLICE are appealing for information after an armed man stole cash during a robbery in Flixton.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at the Spar on Moorside Road at about 9.40pm on Saturday, August 23.
The man went into the shop armed with a knife and demanded cash. He stole money from the till and left the store.
A customer began to follow the offender but he produced a handgun and pointed it at the customer, before running off, getting into a small dark car and driving away.
No one was hurt as a result of the robbery.
The offender is described as white, aged in his late 20's, 6ft tall of slim build. He was wearing a black coloured hooded top, which was zipped up to the face and black bottoms. He also had a clear mask over his face and a pair of bright red plastic gardening gloves with white cuffs.
