Help raise awareness of scleroderma

3:28pm Tuesday 26th August 2008

ALSAGER people are being invited to organise an event to raise awareness of the work of a local charity.

The Raynaud’s and Scleroderma Association is based in Crewe Road, and is running a Scleroderma Awareness Week from November 3 to 9.

“No matter how small or large, your help would be very much appreciated,” said association chief executive Anne Mawdsley.

“If just a few more people learn about scleroderma it will have been worth it.

“Perhaps you could hold a coffee morning, organise a dress down charity day at work, have a table top sale, put up a poster or tell your story to a journalist.”

Awareness packs, including leaflets, bookmarks and posters, are available on request.

For more details ring 01270-872776.

The association is holding its seventh Scleroderma Family Weekend at Chester from October 17 to 19.
