Connett's assault charge dropped

FORMER Northwich Victoria chairman Mike Connett will face no further police action over an alleged assault last month.
The Blue Square Premier club’s landlord was due to answer police bail today, Tuesday, at Middlewich custody suite after being arrested at his High Legh home on Remembrance Day.
But a police spokesperson this morning said no further action would be taken against the 56-year-old.
