UPDATE: One fatality confirmed in motorway smash

A 19-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
She is currently being interviewed by police.
The accident happened on the M62 earlier today when a lorry crashed through the central reservation and collided into an oncoming car.
The incident, which happened at 10.35am, has caused three kilometres of tailbacks on the westbound carriageway.
