A MAN who was detained at a pub by police and arrested in connection with criminal damage to a nearby house has been bailed.

Officers were seen in attendance near to the Moss Bank pub on Sunday afternoon, April 28.
 
When asked about this, a police spokesman said that at around 1.15pm, officers had been called to Queensway, Moss Bank, to reports of criminal damage being caused to a house.
 
A police spokesman said the man was found a short time later in the Moss Bank public house and was detained.
 
The man, aged 33, from Newton-le-Willows, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and taken into custody for questioning.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman today confirmed that the man has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

After the incident, Detective Inspector Alan Wood said: "This will have been a concerning incident for residents to see, and a man was swiftly arrested nearby.

"If you witnessed this incident or live in the area and have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell devices, please check and let us know as we continue to investigate."
